Da Powerhouse Buzz

Venice “Vendva" Lawrence was born on September 20 in Kingston, Jamaica. After graduating high school in Jamaica she decided to throw her first party and was hit with the entertainment bug – A music promoter was born.  She later relocated to NY where she went to college but nonetheless continued to work with various clubs doing promotions.

A few years of doing that led to doing her own successful parties in and around the NY area.  Notable among the parties was the annual Jamaica Independence boat ride, which she did for a couple of years.  Consequently, she started working for the Pulse night club in New York City and later the Palladium night club in New Rochelle, NY where she planned and coordinated some of their major events.

Over the years Vendva has worked in several different capacities within the entertainment field such as festival production, Artist development and artist management.  Through all of this one thing is certain; she remains a true supporter of Caribbean entertainment and cultural development.  Her passion is to see the music and culture taken to the highest level and given the recognition that is so well deserved.
